How much weight could i lose?
Ok so i got a gym membership a couple weeks ago and i’m starting a new healthy eating/dieting regime tomorrow. I’m 5’4 weight around 140 pounds and i am planning on doing 40 mins cardio 5 days a week and eating no more than 1500 calories per day. How much weight do you think i could lose in two months if i keep this up?

I’m a nutrition coach. Your BMI is about 24.5, which is not in the overweight range. You should get at least 107 grams of protein each day and make sure your calories are less than your basic metabolic rate, which is likely between 1400 and 1500 calories.
So, if you eat 1500 calories, then you are burning the same that you are eating and you will not lose weight. If you exercise and burn an extra 700 calories 5 days per week, you can lose 1 pound per week. (3500 calories make up 1 pound of fat) <-- that makes a total of 8 pounds in 8 weeks.
40 minutes of cardio will burn off the sugar in your blood for the first 20-30 minutes and only 10 minutes of that aerobic exercise will actually be burning fat. You'll likely need to do cardio for a bit longer than that. You might also find it advantageous to do your cardio in the morning BEFORE you have breakfast for more fat burning power.

where online can i find good body building diet plans?
looking to balance proteins, carbs, etc. to make the most of my supplement stack and maintain good physique.

As some of you on here already know I am the worlds worst critic of fad diets, useless gym equipment, exercise machines and supplements. if everyone were like me, Bally’s and GNC would be history and all of the slime balls that bilk Billions of Dollars each year from well intentioned and Health conscious consumers, would be doing hard time behind prison walls.
I will stick to my Lifelong theory that all that is needed for a killer body are Proper Diet, Proper Exercise and a little old fashioned Hard Work and Dedication. every piece of equipment I own cost a grand total of around $150.00.
The only exception I make as far is supplements is, I take a Whey Protein Powder and only because it’s too hard to get my 170 grams of Protein from food without going over my calorie/carb limit. and I don’t get ripped off for 50-60 dollars at a nutrition center either. I buy my whey from Wal-Mart and I pay around $14.95 for a 2 pound jar. the name of it is Body Fortress and it works as good for me as anything else on the market.

The Medifast Diet Plan is in the news frequently as more people join the program and others want to study the effectiveness of the program. With many programs available weight loss, it is difficult to understand who are mostly the fancy advertising and hype and those that really work. This article explores the Medifast Diet and assesses the validity of claims for loss of weight and ease of adapting the program to a normal lifestyle.
The premise Medifast Diet program is fairly simple. Small frequent meals with high protein and low levels of carbohydrates to your body in a state called ketosis. The state encourages to increase your metabolism and causes your body to use its own fat stores for energy. The frequent meals (usually six times a day) to help prevent you from feeling hungry, so there is less of a chance to eat foods not on the plan.
Medifast products were originally available only to doctors (hence the name) but are now easily accessible through local distributors and online. The basic plan called the 5 and 1 plan is to use meal replacements for five Medifast meals per day and consumes a leading “lean and green” meal that you prepare yourself to be composed of a protein source and many vegetables. options including meal replacement soups, chili, shakes, oatmeal and bars. How do I start a career in fitness?
I am making a career change, from law to fitness. Fitness has been a lifelong passion of mine. As a kid, I skied (and taught skiing), danced (and taught dance), and ran. As an adult, I go to the gym 5 times a week; I do cardio, lift weights, go to classes, swim. I worked at a Y for a while, directing a youth fitness program (unfortunately the Y doesn’t pay well enough). I have some Y certifications, and a BA that is totally unrelated to fitness (in economics), so I’m basically starting out from scratch. I don’t know exactly what kind of career in fitness I might like to pursue… what are the options? I am looking for any and all starter tips. Classes, certifications, books, DVDs, websites/forums… anything to get my new career path started. Also, feel free to email me if you have lots of advice or if you think you can help/mentor. Thanks!
